DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF TRACKS:
The first two guided Yoga Nidra’s on Deep Relaxation follow the same basic flow. First you are guided to set your intention, or sankalpa (which you come back to at the end of the meditation when you are very open and receptive to your suggestion). Following this is a systematic guidance through all of the layers of your being, or koshas-- body scan to witness and relax the physical body; breath awareness to balance and settle the energy and body; feeling opposite sensations in the body to harmonize mind and emotions; finally visualization or journey to cultivate higher aspects of being, the wisdom body, and to stimulate healing in physical, energetic, emotional and mind levels.
Healing Chakra Chorus leads you through an experience of the seven major energy centers (chakras) and their associated colors and symbolic images. These energy centers correlate to the glands and nerve plexuses in the physical body. This track facilitates harmony, health and equilibrium of the sacred energy centers, glands, endocrine, and nervous system. Following this, the tantric practice of nyasa is explored by envisioning placing healing flowers and sounds into marma energy points along the energy channels. This visualization creates energetic pathways for healing to begin at the deep levels where imbalance begins.
Seven Directions to the Source is a Native American Sprituality inspired journey with Eagle into the four cardinal directions and their associated qualities such as season, energy, element, color, and animal. Then Eagle guides you into the final three directions-- earth, sky, and inward to your own source-- from within a sacred medicine wheel. From your source you are guided to discover a totem symbol. The totem symbol's energy is symbolically healing and rejuvenating, which opens up energetic pathways for healing to manifest in tangible and physical ways.
Sweet Dreams is a track to help guide you into real sleep. It is meant to be used in bed for those times when you may be experiencing insomnia. Let Yoga Nidra, with a soothing tone and pace, lullaby you into sleep. This helps you to get out of your thinking mind (which at night can often be a fearful mind) and bring you into body and breath to aid in calming your energy that you can fall asleep.
